Established in 1982 by a coalition of churches and nonprofit organizations, Central IL Foodbank continues to bring our community innovative programs to help end hunger. The Central IL Foodbank is located at 2000 East Moffat in Springfield.
Central Illinois Foodbank is a member of America\'s Second Harvest, The Nation\'s Food Bank Network. America\'s Second harvest is the largest domestic hunger relief organization in the United States serving more than 23 million Americans each year. Locally, Central Illinois Foodbank distributes nearly 4 million pounds of food annually, to food pantries, soup kitchens, residential feeding programs and after-school programs in 21 central Illinois counties.
