Disney star Zendaya Coleman is set to play late R&B singer Aaliyah in an upcoming TV biopic.

The 17-year-old actress is gearing up to star in “Aaliyah: Princess of R&B” for Lifetime network.

The project is being adapted from author Christopher Farley’s bestselling biography “Aaliyah: More Than a Woman.”

Coleman is best known for her starring role in Disney’s TV series “Shake It Up!,” but she is also a former “Dancing With the Stars” runner-up.

“Try Again” hitmaker Aaliyah died in a 2001 plane crash at the age of 22.
