LOS ANGELES (AP) — Everyone was waiting for Miley Cyrus to do something surprising at the MTV Video Music Awards, but no one expected what she did last night. Cyrus won video of the year for “Wrecking Ball” and sent a young man named Jesse to accept the award. He said he was accepting on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth “who are starving, lost and scared for their lives right now.” Jesse said he was one of them.
